“I ’m afraid it’s not good news ” His voice quiet yet calling the attention of every hair on her body. “ You failed the test ” “ Again ” she said nodding her head slowly to the beat of her breaking heart. She could no longer hold it in, her voice was one with her breath. She thanked him and walked out with the results she had become too familiar with. Once outside she gave herself permission to cry and instantly became the image she was too familiar with. Depressed, Angry, Weak and Broken curled up into the corner of the building she whispered in one breath “ But you said everything I did would prosper, you said you’d never leave me or forsake me ” The drive home was her longest yet, her heart was heavy as she felt every beat without purpose.
