Day 20: My Answer is YES

Hey Reader

It's Day 20

#MySelah #Semicolon
Incase you're new, click on the link to find out what I'm referring to

Today's Verse is

When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” - John 5: 6

Just like that
One question, and an answer that ended 38 years of invalidness (I hope thats a word)
This man had been invalid of 38 years
Society had rejected him,
He was a shame, downcast and hopeless.

I don't know what the conditions surrounding your life are
I don't know how big the mountain seems
But Jesus knows all about it
He knows how long ..but
He needs to know if you want OUT

Too many times we get comfortable with the idea of being in a condition
it becomes who we are
theres no differentiation
It's like we are afraid of been free

I was at an event on Saturday and a young lady said
"I get so comfortable being sad, out of fear that if I'm happy it'll only be temporary. So what's the point if the happiness is only temporary, I'd just rather be comfortable being sad."

Everything in life is a choice
So this moment I ask you to take a leap of faith
Know that the Joy that Christ offers is for those who choose to accept it
It's long lasting, free and liberating
It doesn't fade as long as you remain in Him

Now I want you to read this verse differently

Plot Twist

When Jesus saw *insert your name here*  lying there and learnt that *your name please* had been in this condition for a long time, He asked "Do you want to get well?"

What is your answer ??

Till next time
