Food for thought ?

Happy Easter everyone, hope you are all doing good ?
Alright so, this evening after we (family and I) made our way back from weekly church service, I found myself on the kitchen floor in tears. God had done it again and I was gobsmacked.

Earlier this afternoon as I sat bored through my 2 hour lecture, I had resulted to fantasising about food (as usual). So this time I simply craved a chicken wrap filled with a generous amount of taco sauce, lettuce and of cheese. So I sat there and just contemplated on how I could make it a reality. I thought I'd call my Mum and ever so kindly request that she bought it on the way home from work, but later decided against it.

Fast forward to the moment we arrived at home this evening....
I frantically looked through the cabinets in the kitchen for something to diminish my craving. Fortunately for me, right there on the counter, a chicken wrap lay ever so enticing before me. Turns out my Mother just coincidentally decided she'd pick some up from work without me asking. Only God knew my thoughts and the desire of my heart.

I am instantly reminded of the verse Ephesians 3: 20

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" KJV

Now what brought me to tears wasn't the simple fact that the wrap lay there ready for me to devour it, but that one verse. The fact that I serve a God who is able to do way more and above all that I could ever ASK Him or even THINK according to His mighty power that works in us. That brought me right to tears.

Although matching this scenario to this verse may be slightly out of context it still triggers. The human mind is one that has a limitless potential to create and imagine things that do not exist and are nowhere near tangible. Yet Our God is able to do exceedingly more than our minds are capable of thinking. I know that we could imagine/ think Even the impossible and Our Capable God would still do it.

Don't ever be afraid to think the impossible or the difficult. Simply put, I dare you to think greater, higher and deeper. I challenge you to imagine/ think the impossible as now possible. I challenge you to think the difficult as easy. Watch Him werk (work) it !!!

Darkness comes. In the middle of it, the future looks blank. The temptation to quit is huge. Don't. You are in good company... You will argue with yourself that there is no way forward. But with God, nothing is impossible. He has more ropes and ladders and tunnels out of pits than you can conceive. Wait. Pray without ceasing. Hope.
