The RESULTS are in...

Like the title suggests today's Selah will be on the topic of results.. in particular, The Leaving cert Results.
Firstly I'd like to congratulate everyone who has received the long awaited results of the Leaving Cert, well done guys. Now for those of you who don't quite understand what I'm talking about...the leaving cert is the Irish state examination that is completed by students in their final year of "high school" or "secondary school". The results determine whether the student is accepted into a university or college of their choice. Yea so its a really Massive deal for Irish students!!
I completed the Leaving Cert almost 4 years ago and lemme tell you ... I owe the person that I have become today to the experience of it. Things did NOT plan out my way, I fell into a very dark and depressed time in my life. I felt betrayed by God, I felt let down and disappointed. I felt like a FAILURE.
BUT !!!!!
Through it all, I was more than a conqueror, I became closer to God. I yearned for Him. I understood or at least had a glimpse into the dynamics of HIS Plan. I was reminded by a friend of Proverbs:3 v 5-6
Leaning on our own understanding can be detrimental. We have to remember that our ways are not His ways. His thoughts are deeper, higher and far better than ours. What we think will always be far more inferior than His superior thoughts towards us. Right now you probably understand that you've failed, that you'll get no offers into college, that you are not worth good or that you are the ultimate definition of foolish BUT God's understanding is that you are VICTORIOUS, INTELLIGENT, A DOCTOR, A COMPUTER GENIUS, AN ACCOUNTANT, AN ARTIST, A NURSE, A LAWYER, A SCIENTIST .... (I could go on and on...)
So do not lean on your own understanding of the situation, lean on HIS. Take His opinions into consideration when you think of yourself and watch Him direct your path... till you get to that final destination of greatness. Oh trust Him, you have not seen anything like what He is about to do in your life.

Times when you can see where He is leading you or which direction you are heading to with your life, but we still need to trust Him (With all our hearts, not half way, partial or passively).
