My Heart attacks
Who wants to reveal their scars? especially the ones that are still raw and unfaded caused by relationship breakdowns and disappointments to say the least
not me,
but I've learnt over the years that my struggles aren't personal and yours aren’t too
I was created to share my experiences so that you never have to feel like your alone
I am far from perfect ...but thats okay
A heart attack is described as permanent damage to the heart muscle, it happens when that muscle is starved of oxygen.
I liken my "down" days to heart attacks because of how it literally feels. Anxiety, depression, burden after burden, hopelessness, tearful nights, puffy eyes .......a sudden halt in my life
I literally feel like for that moment I'm been starved of oxygen to the most vital organ in my body
yet the bible says
He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds (Psalms 147:3)
If you've ever been cut deep and had to get a few stitches in ER You'll also know that the tighter the stitch the greater chance of healing with minimal scars and that this process of binding causes a great deal of pain.
The greatest pointer here is that the pain diminishes day after day, until your stitches dissolve or you have to get them removed. Now you're left with a scar but the expertise of that physician determines the visibility of that scar. Some surgeons have a reputation for being able to stitch flawlessly while others are avoided for fear of making your scar look like a highlighted bullet point.

Fortunately for us, our physician knows exactly what he is doing. the process of him binding our hearts and repairing the damage certainly hurts but be reassured that the aftermath is worth it. The finished product is a heart that looks like its brand-new, you'll have to do several double takes to see the slithery scars and when you do see these scars you'll wonder what the initial wound looked like. The purpose is strength, after all it is commonly said that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", you actually become stronger than you thought you were. You have persevered, conquered and overcome many challenges. Rather than beat yourself down, sometimes pat yourself on the back. You're still standing and He (Jesus) stands with you, victorious.
I read a quote this morning from the Lina Abujamra, she puts it to us that even if you cannot trust God's ways you can trust His heart. You may never understand the purpose of the pain, disappointment and heartache, but you can trust the heart of the Father. His intentions are pure and a for greater gain. For He loved the world (yes you) that He gave His all (begotten son).
