Living with Failure?
“I’m afraid it’s not good news” His voice quiet yet calling the attention of every hair on her body. “You failed the test”
“Again” she said nodding her head slowly to the beat of her breaking heart. She could no longer hold it in, her voice was one with her breath. She thanked him and walked out with the results she had become too familiar with.
Once outside she gave herself permission to cry and instantly became the image she was too familiar with. Depressed, Angry, Weak and Broken curled up into the corner of the building she whispered in one breath
“But you said everything I did would prosper, you said you’d never leave me or forsake me”
The drive home was her longest yet, her heart was heavy as she felt every beat without purpose. She was numb yet she felt her bones crumbling. The pain was enough to cease her breath. She made plans to forget the promises. She would curl up in bed with Netflix and wish her life away.
The next time she would try, her faith would be thready. Fear would have paid her a visit and forgot to leave. Doubt would be her earpiece and the volume turned up.
Those who wait on the Lord will not grow weary, they will mount up on wing as eagles, they will walk and not faint....
Faint .... But Her faith is faint
The end is certain ... (spoiler alert) you WILL win.
So walk and not be weary, let your heart rejoice in the hope of what has been promised.
Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
His Grace is sufficient for you. Has He not commanded you to "Be strong and courageous" Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Failure! (my one time phobia) I see it as a step and part of human life and race.
ReplyDeleteYes! It could be so difficult and tough after occurrence or aftermath which could sometimes be a product of overthinking, doubt and depression.
What matters most is how we understand and control our various/numerous thoughts and temptation most especially the way we think.
"The fall of a warrior is not the end of his battle" This has been keeping me moving ever since the day I was broken and tored on the flesh.
I'm a positive product of failure, still moving and winning.
