Get Dressed (Quick)

Before you give the blog a side eye, let me explain *down on both knees*

I have no excuses for not posting frequently, I know I can do better, please forgive me ???  (So that the heavenly Father can forgive you :/)

Lets get into today's post *grabs your hand*

My Dear Friend Jesh, passed away a few weeks ago. Her life was exemplary. 

She was a follower of christ and we SAW it 

We saw it in her relationship with others ...Her ability to draw His Presence into a chaotic room 

Jesh never stopped giving, laughing, pouring out her knowledge of God and loving even the least worthy

I was urged to read Matthew 6 v 25- 33 with a different perspective 

It counsels God's children to not waste a thought on what we shall eat/ drink or even wear 

I found it rather amusing that people in the days of Christ worried about what they would eat and drink equally and as often as what they would wear. It's rather satisfying knowing that I wasn't the only one guilty of this. This past year has been life changing (Literally). 

I've bee subconsciously and consciously mindful about my outward appearance lately (don't judge me) 

The verses bring our attention to one of the most beautifully dressed fragments of nature, flowers ( specifically Lilies). 

If you've ever seen one you know how beautiful they truly are (Google it quick, I won't judge you). 

Even Solomon ….a king .. with all his wisdom and wealth…DID NOT and COULD NOT match up to the beauty that reflected from one single effortless lily clothed by Yahweh.

So what does this mean you ask?

well for starters you know you are worth more than the lilies .. therefore he has made a responsibility out of ensuring you are clothed (mehn if only we had faith)

But He encourages us to seek His kingdom first ….

this is vital because 

your body is more than clothes (v 25) ....physical clothes that is 

Theres a level of clothing that cannot be measured with physical clothes. A level of quenching your thirst and your hunger that exceeds the physical. 

There is natural presentation of beauty created by the time you spend with Him. 

The more time you spend seeking his Kingdom, you spend seeking His face

When you seek you find 

when you find you begin to imitate what you see James 1 v 22-25

You become more like Him 

The epitome of beauty 

What better fragrance than His presence in the morning? 

What greater aura than is presence 

His presence adds beauty and not frailty 

So as I embark on my Internship year 

Waking up at 6 am, most mornings to make a head start on the traffic 

I hope to remember whose aura enhances my beauty 

whose fragrance truly determines my day 

and whose presence ignites my foot path 

Because the world needs to see Jesus in me... not a 4'11 girl with big hair.
