Nothing shall be impossible

This week's Selah (although later than usual sorry *face palm*) will be pondering upon the possibility that nothing is impossible through Christ Jesus. This week I looked closely at the story in Ezekiel 37 verse 1-14.

In verse 3, God asks Ezekiel a question that could alter anyone's heart rate "Son of man, can these bones live?” referring to the very dry bones.

First things first is how God will never ask a question that he doesn't know the answer to. He's not looking for you to do some research and find some answer that will shock Him. In Isaiah 40v 13-14 it asks rhetorically "Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? Whom did he consult, and who made Him understand ?Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge , and showed him the way of understanding ?" Absolutely nobody. When he asks you a question he is simply looking to check your faith levels and it's key never to underestimate Him.

Ezekiel could have replied with a " Whattt ??!!!naw mehn, personally if you asking me, I say they are too dry Lord" (excuse my forced homeboy accent lol). Instead He says "Oh Lord God, thou knowest", Basically acknowledging and accepting that it is a possibility with God.

It is one thing to believe that God can do all things and a different thing for you to say it and live it. It takes courage sometimes to boldly confess it ...out Loud , maybe quite embarrassing, in front of people that doubt his abilities and especially when YOU happen to be uncertain too.

God said : Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

In these verses, Prophet Ezekiel was asked to speak and prophecy to the dry bones that lay desolate in the valley. What's quite interesting is the way in which God commanded Ezekiel to speak ( repeat ) what He (God) had already spoken about the dry bones. Truly when Ezekiel began to prophecy exactly as he was commanded the bones that had once been "very dry" began to rattle and come together and right before his very own eyes were covered with tendons and skin/flesh. (As if that wasn't enough, to raise a man's blood pressure) Ezekiel was also asked to prophecy to the breath and cause it to give life to the bones. WOW !!

God makes a comparison of the dry bones to the people of Israel who have lost hope completely. He was and is able to open up their graves and bring them out of it. I'm sure you've heard the saying "where there is life there's is hope", well I'm telling you that with God even when you seem to have no life at all there is still hope. Have you heard ? That same God who turned water into wine, caused very dry bones to live, resurrected the dead, parted the red sea is still open for business. He is never closed and available for consultation 24/7 cause He never sleeps nor slumbers.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue so speak life into your dry bones. Where flesh or man stops is where God continues and succeeds because with Him nothing shall be impossible.
