Day 15: Dealing with a Broken Heart
Hey Reader
It's Day 15 #MySelah #Semicolon
Incase you're new, click on the link to find out what I'm referring to
Now that we're all on the same page, you know that tomorrow is THE day
If you haven't been blogging, posting verses every day of this month you've got the whole of tomorrow to make an impact
Remember to hashtag #Myselah + Semicolon
Lets get into today's verse
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.Psalm 34:18
I was certainly crushed in my spirit today,
I'd love to spill on the issue, but its not worth today's blogpost
Well, if you insist ....
Lets just say that its hard letting go of certain relationships (*cough*)
When your heart is telling you NO, but your body (hehehe) yea !!!
So I literally felt like I was crushed into a million pieces
No but on a serious note, love is a strong emotion
We humans describe lost love or unrequited love as the cause of a broken heart
If you've been through it you certainly know how painful it is
It's an emotional pain that seeps into the body
You FEEL it physically just as much as you do emotionally
So what do we do ?
How do we deal?
How did I deal ?
We allow God to take over
We draw near to Him
Spending time in His presence
Embracing His Love
Let Him fill the cracks in your heart with His love
It doesn't matter how big the holes are
His love is like an overflowing river
One more thing.....
Surround yourself with people that speak God's word into your heart (you need to meet my friends)
I'm not an expert on dealing with things head on
But I'm certainly enjoying God's company as I walk through this Journey
I'm making a lot of mistakes but He takes my brokenness aside and makes me beautiful
Here's another verse just incase you need it
"I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born" - Isaiah 66:9
See you tomorrow ... DAY 16 !!!!
Love,
Selah
