Day 6 : Liar liar pants on fire!!

Hey Reader,

It's Day 6

In case you're new, click on the link to find out what I'm referring to

Today's Verse is

9-11 For the third test the Devil took him to Jerusalem and put him on top of the Temple. He said, “If you are God’s Son, jump. It’s written, isn’t it, that ‘he has placed you in the care of angels to protect you; they will catch you; you won’t so much as stub your toe on a stone’?”
12 “Yes,” said Jesus, “and it’s also written, ‘Don’t you dare tempt the Lord your God.’”- Luke 4 v 9- 11

The devil is insanely cunning and malicious.
This verse reminds me of the countless times people are tempted to self harm or give up altogether
Even the Lord Jesus was tempted to attempt a full blown suicide mission
(Keep in mind He was fully Flesh .... The fall would have been fatal . Not because God couldn't actually save Him but because He would have been ignorant of the Truth.)

Jesus repels satan with the truth (verse 12), He knew what His Purpose was. He knew Jumping off a cliff wasn't the way to bring Salvation to the World. He knew not to listen Satan under any circumstance, EVEN when he quotes the bible. Satan CAN NOT tell the truth. Similarly God CAN NOT lie.
So when the devil comes with this infamous sentence "just kill your self, you'll be at peace" "you'll get to rest" "its your only way out"
Look at Him straight in the face and declare

Reflect on what God says about you
Reflect on His plan for your life (Jeremiah 29 v11)
Repel satan with the Truth.

With Love
Selah x
